Notice of Annual General Meeting & Election of Officers
Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand

In accordance with Article 8 of the Constitution and Section XV of the By-Laws, the Executive Committee of the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand (FCCT) hereby provides notice to all members that the 2010 Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 in the FCCT Clubhouse, commencing at 7:00 pm.

An agenda for the meeting and minutes of the 2009 Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers is available in the FCCT office for perusal by any member in good standing during regular business hours.

Nomination forms for election of officers to serve on the Executive Committee are also available in the FCCT office. In accordance with the By-Laws, nominations must reach the Executive Committee, in writing, at least seven days prior to the meeting, provided that nominations may also be made during the meeting from the floor with the consent of the nominee.

Please note that only members in good standing are eligible to nominate officers, to vote and to hold office. To be "in good standing" a member must (1) reside in Thailand, (2) have paid all applicable fees, dues and assessments, and (3) not be subject to disqualification. Only correspondent members may nominate and cast votes for candidates for the six posts which must be held by correspondent members; those posts are president, first vice-president, second vice-president, and three of the six non-specific directors. Any member in good standing may nominate and cast votes for candidates for the other six elective posts; those posts are treasurer, recording secretary, corresponding secretary and the remaining three of the six non-specific directors. All votes must be cast in person with the sole exception that any correspondent member unable to attend the meeting may cast his or her vote by proxy held by another correspondent member who is in attendance; proxy forms are available in the office.

All members are cordially invited and encouraged to attend. The Annual General Meeting is the best opportunity to express your views and to cast your votes for or against amendments and revisions to the club's constitution and for the directors who will manage and represent the FCCT on your behalf throughout 2010.
