Membership in the FCCT is available in several broad categories:

Correspondent: working print, broadcast or photojournalists based in Thailand but principally employed by, or freelance contributors to, press or media organizations headquartered outside of Thailand, and for which the principal audience is abroad.

Journalist: working print, broadcast or photojournalists principally employed by, or freelance contributors to, press or media organizations headquartered in Thailand and for which the principal audience is local.

Associate: non-journalists from the public or private sectors with an interest in the press and public affairs.

Corporate, Government, Diplomatic & Multilateral Organization:
three or more applicants qualifying for Associate Membership, joining (or renewing) at the same time from the same local or international corporation, embassy or diplomatic mission, multilateral organization or Thai government ministry or agency; memberships are transferable within the same organization.

Local Non-Governmental Organization: working staff of an NGO headquartered in Thailand and operating exclusively here or here and in neighboring countries only.

Student: students enrolled in a recognized degree-or diplomaprogressing course of study at an accredited college, technical school or university and who are not otherwise fully employed.

Senior: those who have reached the Thai statutory retirement age, currently 60 years.

Country: those qualifying as Associate Members, whose principal residence is in Thailand but more than 50 km distant from the Bangkok metropolis.

Overseas: those whose principal residence is outside of Thailand.

Temporary: those residing in Thailand for periods of three consecutive months or less, each stay.

Life: a special membership category that includes spouse and remains active for the life of the primary member, with a single front-end dues payment. Life members receive special recognition as major foundational supports of the FCCT.


The fee structure for the different categories of membership is as follows:

Multi-Year Memberships	Two- and three-year memberships are available in all annual categories at a five-percent discount for the second year and ten percent for the third year.
