Led by the Ranong Provincial Commercial Office in collaboration with the public and private sectors, a press conference was held to announce preparation for the Ranong Asia Trade 2026 fair and business negotiation mega-event. This is part of a 2026 economic value creation project aimed at connecting trade with the Asian region, in a bid to fully establish Ranong as a regional trade hub.

The governor of Ranong, Mr Rachan Meenoi, has revealed the province's vision, stating that it not only possesses beautiful natural resources but also has high potential as a crucial ‘Western Gateway’ for the country. Currently, border trade value exceeds 30 billion baht annually, and Ranong is one of the strategic areas of the Southern Economic Corridor. So, this event serves as a major platform to declare to the Asian region that Ranong province is fully open to trade, investment, and wellness tourism.

The Ranong Asia Trade 2026 event is due to be held on two major occasions:

• Phase 1, in Ranong, from July 15-19, at the multipurpose area in front of Ranong town municipality in Mueang district. The event will feature product exhibitions and sales with over 160 booths from regional entrepreneurs and neighbouring countries (such as Myanmar and China), along with business matching activities both on-site and via online formats. Additionally, there will be entertainment activities and concerts for people who attend to enjoy.

• Phase 2, held in the Northeast, from August 14-18, in Udon Thani and Nong Khai provinces, aimed at connecting networks and conducting study visits at border trade gateways.

This mega-event has received support and readiness from all sectors, in the form of:

• Entrepreneur preparation: The Ranong Provincial Community Development Office has engaged with local communities to incubate OTOP (One Tambon One Product) producers and community enterprises, and elevate products from 'Local to Global' to ensure they are ready to professionally negotiate export orders.

• Transportation and logistics: Ranong Customs House has confirmed 100% readiness to facilitate operations using paperless customs technology and a one-stop service to ensure fast freight transport and reduced costs.

• Business network connectivity: The Federation of Thai Industries and Ranong Chamber of Commerce are prepared to form Joint Ventures and attract buyers, both domestically and across Asia, to stimulate the economy and wellness tourism, in a bid to bring significant cash flows into the area.

We invite the general public, investors, and tourists to review business opportunities and the charm of Ranong province at the Ranong Asia Trade 2026 event from July 15-19, at the multipurpose area in front of the Ranong town municipality and be a part of lifting the grassroots economy to an international scale.
