Monday 9 September, is the 39th anniversary of the killings in Bangkok of legendary Indochina correspondent Neil Davis, a former FCCT president, and his soundman, Bill Latch, during a failed coup in Bangkok.
David Bradbury, who made the Oscar-nominated documentary “Frontline” about Davis’s remarkable coverage of Indochina during the Vietnam War, will be in the clubhouse to introduce his new film, “Neil Davis redux — death is a lady.”
Redux includes interviews with Gary Burns, who was with Davis and Latch when they came under fire from renegade tanks and was deeply traumatised by their killings. Among others, there are also interviews with the late John McBeth of the Far Eastern Economic Review; Jim Gerrand, who was with Davis in Cambodia in the early days; and “The Fox’s” wife, Julie Davis.
